Eligibility
For the Rhodes Scholarships at Oxford University, all applicants must meet the following requirements:
Each applicant must satisfy the citizenship and residency requirements of the Rhodes constituency for which they apply.
- Age: You must be between 18 and 24 on October 1, 2023, meaning you must have been born between October 1, 1998, and October 2, 2005, or earlier.
OR (for elderly candidates who waited longer than typical to finish their first college degree)
You must have been born after October 1, 1996, or be less than 27 on October 1, 2023, and earned your first undergraduate degree on or after October 1, 2022.
- Education: Candidates must possess an academic background, a completed undergraduate degree (often a bachelor’s degree), and
- grade that satisfies or surpasses the exact entry requirements of your chosen full-time study at the University of Oxford, such as a First Class Honours Degree or equivalent.
- English Language: You must possess a level of English that is adequate to meet the University of Oxford’s standards (at the Higher Level specified).
