Who qualifies?
Eligible students include transfer students and new international freshmen with F-1 visas with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
Who is not qualified:
- Current students in the UK are not eligible.
- Candidates who must pay non-resident tuition
- Students who are traveling or on exchange are not eligible.
- Candidates who complete high school in Kentucky are not eligible.

Application Procedure
How to Apply for the University of Kentucky Ambassador Scholarship
- Use this form to submit an application for the International Student Ambassador scholarship. Please contact Audra Cryder by email at audra.cryder@uky.edu with any questions. Only those applicants who have been accepted to the university for undergraduate study are eligible for this scholarship.
- The review process starts after the February 15th deadline.
- Those who get to the finals will participate in two roundtable interviews; those who pass will advance to the second round, where they will be required to produce a short film.
- Scholarship decisions are released to the public by April 1st.
