Transfer Student Scholarships

UAH offers special two-year scholarships in recognition of incoming transfer students’ academic success. There is no need for a separate scholarship application. Applicants are automatically considered for admission if they submit an application and official transcripts from every college they have attended.

Depending on the GPA, an annual award of $1,500 or $3,000 will be given for two years. To be eligible for consideration, students must be pursuing their first bachelor’s degree, have never attended UAH or any other four-year university, and continue to enroll full-time at UAH.

University of Alabama in Huntsville Graduate Assistantships

Graduate students can receive financial support while they work toward their degrees through graduate assistantships. Graduate Research Assistantships (GRA) and Graduate Teaching Assistantships (GTA) are the two types of assistantships available. Whereas GRAs conduct research under a faculty member’s supervision, GTAs assist the faculty in teaching.

To maintain their appointment, graduate assistants must be enrolled in graduate credit courses for at least nine semester hours in the spring and fall (6 hours in the summer). The university will cover your tuition and expenses for a maximum of 12 hours per semester in exchange. Financial assistance is given according to educational level:
