Candidates submitted to the Excellence Eiffel Scholarship Program in France by French higher education institutions are guaranteed enrollment if:
- in master’s degree-granting courses
- in a program for engineers
- in collaboration with an international partner university as part of a joint doctoral program (joint supervision of a dissertation and/or dual degree).
Eligibility Criteria
Non-French national students who wish to pursue master’s or doctorate degrees at French universities are eligible for the fellowship. Applicants are usually required to be 30 years of age or younger. Some exclusions may apply to PhD applicants.
- Nationality: Candidates cannot be nationals of France. The Eiffel Scholarship is not available to French nationals.
- Age: Applicants must be under 30 years old at the time of application for master’s-level positions. For PhD candidates, there is no minimum age requirement.
- Academic Level: The Eiffel Scholarship program is typically given at two academic levels:
- Master’s level: Applicants must intend to enroll in a master’s course of study.
- Ph.D. level: Applicants need to be applying to Ph.D. programs.

Deadline for Excellence Eiffel Scholarship Program
On October 1, 2024, the call for applications will formally open, giving institutions time to prepare for submission.
