BI Scholarships for Bachelor Applicants
BI Scholarships for Norwegian Business School offers schola
rships to applicants for bachelor’s degrees to help overseas students finish their undergraduate degrees. There are several scholarships available to candidates pursuing bachelor’s degrees, including:
Bachelor International Scholarship
50% of tuition fees for up to three years will be covered by the Bachelor International Scholarship if the student maintains the conditions for academic progression for scholarship recipients.
Eligibility
- Foreign applicants who are not Norwegian and have experience with international education are eligible for this fellowship.
- Those who apply and are approved for admission to any of the following programs:
- Business Administration Bachelor’s Degree
- Business Data Science Bachelor’s Degree
- Diploma in Digital Marketing
BI International Baccalaureate Scholarship
For a maximum of three years, the BI International Baccalaureate Scholarship will cover all tuition expenses provided the student continues to achieve the requirements for scholarship recipients in terms of academic advancement.
Eligibility
- Applications are only evaluated if they have a minimum of 33 IB points (final or expected grades).
- Candidates who hold citizenship in Switzerland, the EU, EEA, or Norway.
- Applicants that meet the requirements for Lnekassen but are not native to Norway.
- Those who apply and are approved for admission to any of the following programs:
- Business Administration Bachelor’s Degree
- Business Data Science Bachelor’s Degree
- Diploma in Digital Marketing
The Women in Finance and Tech Bachelor Scholarship
The Women in Finance and Tech Bachelor Scholarship aims to encourage worthy female applicants to finish their undergraduate studies and pursue careers in technology or finance. Female candidates can be encouraged to pursue careers in fields where there is a gender gap with the support of this scholarship.
The Women in Finance and Technology Bachelor Scholarship will cover all tuition expenses for up to three years if the recipient achieves the requirements for academic progress.
BI Scholarships for Master of Science applicants
Candidates from Norwegian Business School for the Master of Science program are eligible for many BI scholarships. The purpose of these scholarships is to attract motivated and intelligent candidates from all over the world.
BI Presidential Scholarship
BI Scholarships for Norwegian are awarded to candidates accepted into any MSc program at the Oslo or Bergen campuses with outstanding academic records.
Benefits of the BI Presidential Scholarship
BI Scholarships for Norwegian nationals applying both domestically and internationally: Scholarships will cover the full cost of tuition for each semester for up to two years, provided the student passes the requirements for academic advancement.
Applicants for Sivk scholarships: Full tuition for each semester for up to two years will be covered if the student satisfies the requirements for academic advancement.
International applicants: For a maximum of two years, scholarships will cover all of your tuition and a stipend each semester if you meet the requirements for academic advancement. Though it only covers roughly 70% of living expenditures, the stipend is meant to assist.
Eligibility
- Candidates must have the equivalent of the highest grade on an international grading system or a minimum overall GPA of “A” on the ECTS scale to be considered.
- Students in their third year of the Sivk program are eligible to apply.
- Applicants with dual citizenship in Switzerland, the EU, or the EEA, or with Norwegian nationality.
- Candidates with connections to Norway who are eligible for Lnekassen but do not reside in Norway.
- Accepted candidates for a Master of Science program at either the Bergen or Oslo campuses, except the BI-Luiss Joint Masters in Marketing.
Master of Science International Scholarship
The Master of Science International Scholarship will cover full tuition for a maximum of two years. The deadline for applications is March 1. International applicants must upload their complete admission application, including their scholarship application, to the online application platform.
Eligibility
- Candidates with great academic records and citizenship from the EU, EEA, or Switzerland.
- Applicants that meet the requirements for Lnekassen but are not native to Norway.
- Applicants must be admitted to a science master’s program.
- Applicants who apply for the BI Presidential Scholarship will also be evaluated for the MSc International Scholarship.
Wilhelmsen Foundation Scholarship
The goal of the A. Wilhelmsen Foundation scholarship is to help foreign students afford their education in Norway. To be eligible for this grant, the applicant must apply to and be accepted into the Master of Science program at the BI Norwegian Business School. Candidates with nationalities outside of Norway. Wilhelmsen operates in several different regions, some of which include the Caribbean, Portugal, and the Baltic region. We especially encourage these candidates to apply.
Scholarship for BI-Luiss Joint Masters in Marketing
awarded to applicants with stellar academic records who are admitted into the BI-Luiss Joint Masters in Marketing program at Luiss University and the BI Norwegian Business School. The grant will cover the tuition for one or both program years.
Women in Finance and Tech Master Scholarship
The Women in Finance and Tech Scholarship was created to encourage deserving women to pursue graduate degrees and careers in finance or technology. If the student continues to meet the standards for scholarship awardees in terms of academic progression, the Women in Finance and Technology Master Scholarship will pay all tuition costs for up to two years.
Eligibility
- outstanding academic prospects who are female candidates who hold dual citizenship or who are nationals of the EU, EEA, or Switzerland.
- International female applicants who meet the eligibility requirements for Lnekassen and have ties to Norway.
- Candidates who are female and who apply to one of the following programs and are accepted:
- Master of Science in Business, Finance concentration (Campus Oslo and Campus Bergen)
- MSc in Business, Sustainable Finance concentration
- Masters in Data Science for Business with a focus on Business Analytics
- Master of Finance
- Sustainable Finance Master’s degree
- Masters in Financial Analysis
- Candidates must be female and enrolled in the Sivk program for the third year.
BI Scholarships for Executive Master Applicants
Executive MBA Scholarship
If the student meets the conditions for academic development, the Executive MBA Scholarship will be taken from the final installment and will provide a 25% tuition cost discount. Candidates for the Executive MBA program must meet eligibility requirements and submit a full application. By December 1, you must submit a full admission application, including your scholarship application.
Executive Master of Management in Energy Scholarship
If the student meets the conditions for academic development, the Executive Master of Management in Energy Scholarship will be taken out of the final installment and will provide a 25% tuition discount. By December 1st, you must submit a full admission application, including your scholarship application.
BI Scholarships for PhD Programs
The doctoral program lasts four years full-time and includes 25% teaching obligations to earn a PhD. The PhD program at BI Scholarships for Norwegian does not charge tuition. However, you must have funds for your application to the PhD program at BI to be taken into consideration. There are three different ways of funding your PhD at BI.
Open scholarship
These awards are only made public once a year, between November and January. Since the scholarships are open, your PhD will not be tied to a particular topic but rather must fall under one of the six BI specializations.
Scholarship linked to a research project
BI Scholarships for Norwegian are occasionally announced. The research project must be directly related to your doctoral study and dissertation. Typically, finding a supervisor is not necessary before applying.
Industrial PhD
An industrial PhD is a doctoral degree that is completed with the help of business and industry, BI Scholarships for Norwegian, and academic institutions. The same prerequisites for admission apply to industrial PhDs, which are also regarded as full-time programs. The agreement between BI and the employer covers both money matters and time spent at BI and the employer.
Criteria for BI Scholarships for Norwegian
To apply for BI Scholarships for Norwegian, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
- The only candidates who will be taken into consideration are those who have been accepted into a Master of Science program and who have submitted their applications as directed.
- Scholarship requests will only be taken into consideration after the admission offer has been accepted.
Application Procedure
You must upload a complete application for admission to the online application portal, including your Scholarships for Norwegian application. Scholarship requests submitted through email will not be considered. You may submit more than one scholarship application, however, BI Norwegian Business School will only fund one per candidate.
- Along with your admissions application, submit a scholarship application.
- Explain in a one-page maximum scholarship application letter why you should be awarded the scholarship. BI Scholarships are given out based on academic ability rather than financial need.
- Upload it to the ‘Scholarship’ portion of your admissions application online.
- Include all the paperwork needed to be examined for admission to a master’s degree in science. Only once a complete application for admission has been filed and the admission offer has been accepted will the scholarship application be taken into account.
- Students enrolled in the Sivilkonom program at BI Scholarships for Norwegian who are currently in their third year may apply in the spring of their third year by sending a letter of application for a scholarship to info@bi.no with the subject line: BI Presidential Scholarship Application.
- The MSc International Scholarship will also be considered for international applicants who apply for the BI Presidential Scholarship. There is no need for a separate scholarship application letter.
