Eligibility Criteria for Master Mind Scholarships

Everyone from any nationality can apply.
Applicants must have excellent academic records.
Must be accepted into a Master’s program at KU Leuven.
Must be nominated by KU Leuven for the scholarship.
Proficiency in English is required (TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent).
Applicants should not have previously obtained a Master’s degree from a Flemish university.

How to apply for Master Mind Scholarships in Belgium

Visit the Scholarship Page: Access the Master Mind Scholarship page on the KU Leuven website.
Submit Your Application: Apply for an eligible Master’s program and include the KU Leuven Scholarships & Master Mind Candidacy Form.
Register Your Candidacy: Use the online registration tool to register your Master Mind candidacy.
Nomination Process: Eligible students will be nominated by KU Leuven Master’s programs.
Complete the Flemish Application Form: Nominated students will fill out the Flemish government’s Master Mind application form.

Selection

Procedure

After the 15 January application deadline, the KU Leuven Master’s programs nominate eligible students who have expressed interest in the scholarship.
The central KU Leuven Selection Commission nominates up to 20 students for application at the Flemish level.
The 20 nominated students will be informed about their preselection before 15 April 2025.
The 20 nominated students complete the Flemish government’s online Master Mind application form. They compete with nominees from other Flemish universities.
The Selection Commission of the Flemish government makes the final selection. The results are announced at the end of May or in early June.
